...oh, but what could the dilemma be, you might ask? Well, the name Godsent Comics. That's what the dilemma is. Sure, it might just be nothing, but...I am concerned I might get the (negative) attention of the other people using the name Godsend for their comics. I'm not calling my comics Godsent or anything. That's just my studio name or something, I guess. I would like it to be a company name someday, but there are a couple reasons I might consider a different name...though I would hate that, especially because I already started on this site, which is probably stuck with the name I gave it: GodsentComics.Weebly.com. Godsend illustration (About Time Comics) I haven't read either of them or anything, but I did happen to learn about two comics called Godsend. One is a web comic by Jesse Bausch and Meg Gandy, and the other is from About Time Comics, which apparently also has a steampunk/western comic. I didn't realize I was such a little copy-cat! (Haha, spoiler alert! Tumble is going to be a steampunk/western!) The genre isn't really bothersome to me though--I'm positively certain we aren't the first people to think of that, and I'm willing to bet our stories will be quite different. What bothers me is the thought of changing the studio name I was so set on!
I went ahead and contacted About Time Comics about it, and I'm hoping and praying they say it's alright. I suppose all I can do is wait now. If I am requested to change the name, I'll probably need some help choosing a new one. Too bad I don't have anyone here to assist me. Oh well. If that happens, perhaps I'll try and collect some names and have a poll. What really frightens me about it is I might have to either make a new website, or try and change the name of this one! Eesh. I do not want that. In other news, I've started work on coloring the banners. It might be a few days, and I don't promise anything fancy, but I will be working on them. That's all for now, -Lissie Dixon

It's always tough when you get established only to find a conflict in names of all things. A western with steampunk won't be an issue, lots of stories share a genre or concept, but I understand the name concern.

The amusing thing about it is, I never would have heard of either of them if I hadn't chosen the site name. I was googling my site to get to it, even though I could have easily just typed in the address manually and gotten here a lot faster. And to my surprise, my site didn't pop up--those did! So, it was a little startling, of course.
