I didn't mean for that to happen. At all. Life just got reeeally busy, and a lot has changed. I'm not going to talk about that here, though. \('u')/
What I am going to talk about here is that Tangerine Target has taken the back burner while I work on--guess what?--ACES! AGAIN! I'm going back and redoing it again, but this time I'm doing it right. I'm starting from scratch. Again. Guess how long that's been going on? Over a month. I've gotten 27 full pages sketched out (At a rate of about one a day) and two pages completely inked. Since it's October, I thought I'd be doing InkTober. Instead I found myself inking a comic panel for each day of the month so I keep working on the comic. Which is good. I just kinda miss doing the prompts. I am considering doing a prompt list in a month or two though. Would you guys like me to upload the art here if I do? If you follow me on Instagram this probably isn't news. I did make a second Instagram account recently though--this one for more miscellaneous things, but mostly work-in-progress art photos and sketches, some of them from the new version of Aces. It's @comicsquid --just a bit of self-promotion there, haha. Speaking again of Aces, I meant to explain why I've done 27 new pages instead of just 22 like the original. I've edited the pacing of the story and am far happier with it now, but that means it's going to be longer. I've added new content to the story (the entire first page is new!), and the art is much better this time around. More consistent especially. I hope you will all like the newer version as much as I'm liking it. In fact, when it's done I'm planning on printing it...hopefully. I'm going to try to keep it under 40 pages so I can still print it through a comic book print-on-demand company, but we'll see. I'm actually close to the end. Page 27 lines up with about page 16 in the version currently available on the site here, if you were wondering. I'm going to try and finish sketching the last pages before the end of October. It might be aiming high, but I want to finish the inking for the comic before the new year. If all goes well, I should be able to have the first issue done by spring of 2018. That's what I'd like, at least. Winter will give me plenty of time indoors to work on it, though Christmastime will be busy as always, no doubt. I have high hopes for how fast I can get it all done though. I've been fine-tuning the website a bit, and hopefully you like the adjustments! I think it makes the site nicer looking for sure. I'm going to try to tweak the art gallery in the next few days, I think. Make the galleries more attractive and have some of the newer art off my Instagram, as well as older pieces I like. That's about all for now though. If you have any questions or anything, feel free to comment or send an email through either the Contact tab, or send one to [email protected]! I always love hearing from you guys. c: Talk to you soon! -Lissie Dixon ♠

I know I speak for all of us when I say we appreciate the work you are doing. We are, each of us, familiar with how busy, hectic, and hard this beautiful thing called life can get! So we totally understand the break in posts - don't worry about it.
